Looking for volunteers to assist at Ride the Tide

Winyah Rivers Foundation to Partner with GIFT

Winyah Rivers Foundation is delighted to partner with GIFT, (Giving It Forward Together) in their third Ride the Tide event on September 16, 2017 from 9 am until 11 am. GIFT, is a non for profit that was started several years ago by a small group of friends in Pawleys Island and they have made a big splash raising donations to support  American Diabetes Association,  Miss Ruby's Kids and Tara Hall Home for Boys.

We are honored and pleased that this committed group of citizens has designated Winyah Rivers Foundation as the recipient of the third Ride the Tide proceeds. We are thrilled with their support to protect our backyard rivers and clean water.

Ride the Tide is a “float” event open to any non-motorized flotation devices including kayaks, canoes and homemade rafts. The float starts at the Litchfield Plantation and ends at Hagley's Landing. Some staff members of the Winyah Rivers Foundation already have a john boat lined up on loan thanks to our partners at Black River Outdoors, as the basis for building a float. There is a "post ride” party later in the day at Pawleys Island Raw Bar and is open to all.

We will need help and adventurous folks to help volunteer to participate and provide safety. We will also need sponsors to help underwrite some costs associated with the event.

We are committed to help make this years Ride the Tide Event the best and biggest yet.  Visit our Ride the Tide Event Page for details and reserve the date. This is one event you don't want to miss.
